Sandanis is a graduate student in the greater Washington DC area. A part of the ‘new’ military history, he’s primarily interested in war crimes, atrocities, and sundry unpleasantness. Confined to the study of the 20th century by a crippling inability to read either cursive handwriting or ancient Greek, he consoles himself by occasionally reading about early modern Europe, feudal Japan, or classical antiquity. His hobbies include writing about himself in the third person, trying to avoid popping up on Google searches, and playing more board games than are strictly healthy or necessary.
